Membership Information

To qualify for membership, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Junior Broker Membership

Junior Broker membership is available to individuals who are early in their commercial real estate or appraisal careers and are actively working toward meeting Senior Broker qualifications.

Qualifications:

• Must be actively engaged in the commercial real estate or commercial appraisal business.
• Must hold a current Washington State or Idaho real estate broker or real estate salesperson license and be primarily engaged in the sale, lease, or appraisal of commercial or investment property.
• Must be sponsored by a current Spokane Traders Club member for the first year of membership.
• Must submit a letter from the applicant’s designated broker verifying the percentage of commercial versus residential transactions completed during the prior twelve months.

Senior Broker Membership

Senior Broker membership is available to experienced commercial real estate professionals who are primarily engaged in commercial transactions.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of five years’ experience working in the commercial real estate or commercial appraisal business.
• At least sixty percent of the applicant’s deal activity must be commercial real estate.
• Must submit a letter from the applicant’s designated broker verifying the percentage of commercial versus residential transactions completed during the prior twelve months.

The Board of Directors shall determine whether the applicant meets the foregoing requirements upon receipt of a written application for membership.  If the Board of Directors determines that the applicant is so qualified, the applicant shall be admitted to membership upon payment of the full year membership dues.
